About Me
Heather Burt was born in 1965 in Montreal and moved to Vancouver with her family in 1978. She graduated from her first round of university in 1989, then, after teaching French Immersion and ESL in the public school system for a number of years, she returned to Montreal to complete an M.A. in English. She's now back in Vancouver, where both she and her partner, the writer Paul Headrick, teach English and Creative Writing at Langara College. Heather has travelled widely over the years. She is passionate about environmental causes and has been happily car-free since 2000.
